Balionis has been a familiar face in the golf world and once found herself the subject of rumors linking her romantically with golf star Rory McIlroy, though these speculations were quickly dismissed. On her birthday, she couldn’t contain her excitement about meeting the renowned journalist Lesley Stahl at the Travelers Championship Women’s Day breakfast. Reflecting on her day, Balionis wrote, “It took my 38th birthday for two iconic things to happen: I had the honor of meeting and picking the brain of the legendary Lesley Stahl. She is everything. And I finally accomplished the thing Cosmo prepared us for every day of our lives as teens: successfully turning a top from day to night.”

While Balionis enjoyed her celebrations, Rory McIlroy was absent from the Travelers Championship, having taken a short break from the sport after his painful loss at the US Open to Bryson DeChambeau. The Northern Irish golfer announced his hiatus to spend time with his family, including his wife Erica Stoll and their daughter Poppy, following rumors about a brief separation. McIlroy’s relationship with Stoll was a topic of speculation, especially after an interview with Balionis at the RBC Canadian Open led to assumptions about a possible romantic connection between the two.
