Scott Vncent, part of Kevin Na’s Iron Heads team in LIV Golf, experienced an eventful first day at the International Series Morocco on the Asian Tour. The drama began when Vincent discovered his luggage, including his golf clubs, was missing upon arrival at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. This led to a frantic trip back to the airport, but unfortunately, he couldn’t locate his belongings.
As a result, Vincent was late for his 12:30 pm tee time on Thursday. Arriving four minutes and 30 seconds late, he narrowly avoided disqualification, which would have occurred if he had been just 30 seconds later. Instead, under the rules of golf, Vincent began his round with a two-shot penalty.
Despite the setback and using a full set of borrowed clubs, Vincent delivered an outstanding performance, finishing five-under. Reflecting on the day, he noted, “I had zero expectations today, but we definitely learned something that will help us improve in the future. The pressure was off, and I just wanted to see what would happen.”

Adding to the coincidence, Vincent’s younger brother Kieran, who is on Jon Rahm’s LIV team, also had his clubs lost. Like Scott, Kieran played with borrowed clubs, shooting a one-under 72. By the end of the day, Scott’s clubs had been found, but Kieran’s were still missing.
Meanwhile, Japan’s Jinichiro Kozuma held the lead, one stroke ahead of Eugenio Chacarra, who was part of Vincent’s group, with an eight-under finish. John Catlin, aiming for a permanent spot in the LIV circuit, also secured a place in the top 10.
