### Ludvig Aberg Back in Action at the Scottish Open
PGA Tour golfer Ludvig Aberg is returning to the field this week at the Scottish Open after a few weeks off. During his break, Aberg spent some quality time in his homeland and with his girlfriend, Olivia Peet.
Aberg, the 24-year-old Swedish star, is competing at The Renaissance Club, facing top players like Rory McIlroy in the penultimate event before the final men’s major of the year. On Wednesday, he shared with reporters that he enjoyed his much-needed rest, even though he humorously needed a “breakfast ball” on the first tee at Barsebäck & Country Club after hitting one out of bounds.
Before heading to Scotland, Aberg and his girlfriend also attended Wimbledon, enjoying the prestigious tennis tournament. They weren’t the only golfers present; Ryder Cup teammates Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, and Matthew Fitzpatrick, along with European skipper Luke Donald, were also in attendance.
Aberg shared a light-hearted moment on social media, joking about how all he could think about was hitting a full 60-degree wedge on the grass court. He expressed his excitement about the experience, especially since his girlfriend, who played tennis in college, loved it. “Wimbledon was very, very cool,” he said. “I’ve always liked tennis and watched the bigger tournaments, but experiencing it with Olivia was special.”
Looking ahead, Aberg aims to secure his second PGA Tour victory at the Scottish Open, though his primary focus is on The Open at Royal Troon next week. He recently played a practice round at Royal Troon with Viktor Hovland, noting the unusually sunny and calm weather. “The golf course was great and tough,” he said. “It was my first time there, and I remembered many holes from Henrik Stenson’s 2016 victory, which should be a national holiday in Sweden.”
Aberg highlighted the challenging nature of Royal Troon, with its easier front nine and tougher back nine. “The place is really cool,” he said. “It will be a good challenge, and I’m looking forward to it.”
