Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim made some young fans’ day extra special on Monday as they handed out gifts while preparing for The Open in Scotland. Amid their training, the two PGA Tour stars took time to interact with fans on the sidelines.
Scheffler, while signing autographs for a group of boys, was playfully interrupted by Kim, who tossed a golf ball his way, asking him to “sign it for me.” Scheffler humorously responded, “Tom, there’s children back here. Take it easy,” before handing the ball to one of the kids, calling it “a gift from Tom Kim.”

This lighthearted exchange highlighted the close friendship between Scheffler and Kim. Recently, Scheffler, the No. 1 golfer in the PGA Tour rankings, triumphed over Kim at the Travelers Championship on June 23.
Scheffler, 28, has been in phenomenal form throughout the 2024 PGA Tour season, winning six tournaments. His impressive performance has earned him the most PGA Tour victories before July 1 since Arnold Palmer’s era in the 1960s. Scheffler is now eyeing the 2024 Open Championship in Scotland, marking his first competition since his Travelers Championship win three weeks ago.
Kim, at 22, is also making waves in the 2024 PGA season. Ranked No. 17 in the world, his standout performance this year was as the runner-up to Scheffler at the Travelers Championship.
Their interaction with fans not only showcased their camaraderie but also underscored their commitment to engaging with their supporters, further solidifying their roles as beloved figures in the golfing community.
