Born Kate Phillips on July 30, 1980, in Chiswick, Kate Rose was an international gymnast before graduating from the University of Sussex. Post her athletic career, she worked as an assistant at IMG, where she met Justin Rose. The couple began dating in 2000 and married six years later at the five-star Manor House in Castle Coombe, Chippenham.

The Roses have two children: Leo, born in 2009, and Lottie, born in 2012. The family resides at the Albany Resort in the Bahamas and owns a riverside flat in London, having previously lived in Orlando, Florida.

In 2009, the couple established the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation to support children in Orlando with nutrition and education advice. They also launched the Rose Ladies Series in 2020, contributing £35k to sponsor the events.
