Former U.S. President Donald Trump spoke warmly about Sir Nick Faldo, a six-time major golf champion, during a campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana. Trump praised Faldo as a “major friend” and suggested that the retired golfer could play a role in his administration if reelected. The rally also highlighted Faldo’s increasing involvement in Republican politics, largely influenced by his wife, Lindsay De Marco, whom he married in December 2020.
Lindsay, a former stripper and ardent Trump supporter, has strong conservative views and has been an outspoken advocate for the former president. She and Faldo recently relocated to a 125-acre farm near Bozeman, having moved from Florida. At the rally, Trump acknowledged Faldo, referring to him as one of the greatest golfers of all time, and playfully suggested that Faldo’s ability to make opponents “fold” on the golf course could be an asset in government.
During the event, Lindsay, who has been vocal about her support for Trump on social media, eagerly posed for pictures with Trump and her husband. She has often used her social media platforms to express her admiration for Trump, posting about her desire to see him lead the country again. Lindsay has a history of political involvement, having previously been married to multi-millionaire Scott Sangalli, with whom she supported the Republican Party. She even won the title of Mrs. Conservative US in 2012, a pageant celebrating conservative women.
A source close to Lindsay described her meeting with Trump as the “pinnacle” of her social climbing aspirations, noting that while marrying a knight was significant, meeting Trump was a dream come true for her. After the rally, Lindsay shared numerous photos and screenshots from the event on her social media, clearly thrilled by the experience.
