Noah Lyles, the American track star, recently reunited with his girlfriend, Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield, after his impressive performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Lyles secured a gold medal in the 100 meters and a bronze in the 200 meters, while Bromfield competed in the 400 meters, marking her Olympic debut in that event.
The couple first went public with their relationship at the 2022 USATF Night of Legends event, although they had already competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Lyles took home a bronze in the 200 meters at those Games, and Bromfield contributed to Jamaica’s victory in the 4×400 meter relay. The Paris Games marked their second Olympic appearance, with Lyles participating in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4×100 meter relay, and Bromfield competing in the 400 meters and 4×400 meter relay.
In Paris, Lyles added a 200-meter bronze medal to his collection after winning the 100 meters in a remarkable 4.79 seconds at the Stade de France. Bromfield finished fifth in the 4×400 meter mixed relay and narrowly missed advancing to the 400 meter finals. After their Olympic endeavors, the couple reunited for a shopping trip, during which Lyles humorously documented his “boyfriend duties” on Instagram, showing himself holding Bromfield’s shopping bag. He captioned the post: “The Olympic champion is now a bag holder.” Bromfield playfully responded with her own Instagram story, saying, “Boyfriend duties takes priority,” followed by two laughing emojis.
Junelle Bromfield has expressed gratitude for the support she has received from Noah Lyles’ family, particularly his mother, Keisha Caine Bishop. After qualifying for the Paris Olympics, Bromfield spoke about how Keisha helped her adjust to life in Florida and supported her training when she was going through a difficult time after losing family members. In a recent interview on The Inside Lane, she shared: “I want to give a big shout-out to my boyfriend and his mom because when I went to Florida, I wasn’t driving, and she took me to training and back every day, which was like 40 minutes. That’s a support that I’m extremely grateful for.”
Lyles has also spoken about his experiences visiting Jamaica, describing how he is treated “like a freaking rock star” whenever he is there. After winning the 100 meters in Paris, Lyles celebrated by running to the stands to embrace Bromfield, highlighting the strong bond they share both on and off the track.
