However, as the match progressed and became more physically demanding, Draper began to struggle, even vomiting during the second set. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t put enough pressure on Sinner’s serve. In the third set, Draper, visibly exhausted, was unable to regain control.
After the match, Draper shared a weary embrace with his friend Sinner, who reached his first US Open final.
