Simone Biles has added a new tattoo, which seems to be a tribute to her husband, Jonathan Owens. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist and her NFL star husband are currently apart due to their sports schedules.
Biles, fresh off her Olympic success in Paris this summer, has hit the road for a 30-stop gymnastics tour across the United States. Owens, meanwhile, is busy with his NFL commitments. They are set to reunite on September 29 in Chicago when Owens’ team, the Bears, plays the Rams, and Biles performs during her tour.
To keep her husband close in spirit, Biles recently got new ink seemingly dedicated to him. She shared a photo of herself getting tattooed by Arizona artist Sydney Smith after a show on Tuesday night. The new tattoos include the phrase “Made in Heaven” across the back of her neck and a small “J” on the ring finger of her left hand.
Sydney Smith, who worked on Biles’ tattoos for 90 minutes, described the experience as enjoyable. “I treat all of my clients the same. It’s always a good time getting to do what I love every day,” she told TMZ.
Biles and Owens tied the knot in April 2023, and in July 2024, Owens revealed that he had also gotten his wife’s initial tattooed on his ring finger before she left for the Paris Games.
Biles has now officially kicked off her nationwide tour with fellow Olympic stars Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera. The tour, named the “Gold Over America Tour” (GOAT), began earlier this week in Oceanside, California, with two back-to-back shows at Frontwave Arena. Joining them are U.S. Olympic team bronze medalists Paul Juda, Brody Malone, and Frederick Richard, who will perform alongside the women’s gold medal-winning athletes.
