Top 8 Spanish Men with the Most ATP Singles Titles in the Open Era

 

Rafael Nadal holds the record for the most ATP singles titles won by a Spanish player, while Carlos Alcaraz moved to joint-sixth on the list after his victory at the 2024 China Open. In total, 16 Spanish men have won 10 or more singles titles in the Open Era, with 42 having claimed at least one title. Carlos Alcaraz has won 16 ATP titles across all surfaces, including eight on clay, five on hard courts, and three on grass. The former world No. 1 secured his first title at the 2021 Croatia Open and most recently triumphed at the 2024 China Open

 

=6. Juan Carlos Ferrero – 16 Titl

Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, also won 16 ATP singles titles, with 13 on clay and three on hard courts. The former world No. 1 captured his first title at the 1999 Majorca Open and his final victory at the 2011 Stuttgart Open

 

=6. José Higueras – 16 Titl

José Higueras won 16 ATP singles titles, 15 of which came on clay and one on hard courts. The former world No. 6 claimed his first title at the 1976 Chile Open and won his last in Bordeaux in 1984

 

5. Álex Corretja – 17 Titl

Álex Corretja earned 17 singles titles, with 10 on clay, six on hard courts, and one on carpet. The former world No. 2 secured his first title at the 1994 Argentina Open and his last in Kitzbühel in 2002

 

4. Carlos Moyá – 20 Titl

Carlos Moyá won 20 ATP singles titles, with 16 on clay and four on hard courts. The former world No. 1 picked up his first title at the 1995 Argentina Open and his final victory at the 2007 Croatia Open

 

3. David Ferrer – 27 Titl

David Ferrer amassed 27 ATP singles titles, with 13 on clay, 12 on hard courts, and two on grass. The former world No. 3 won his first title at the 2002 Romanian Open and his last at the 2017 Swedish Open

 

2. Manuel Orantes – 34 Titl

Manuel Orantes won 34 ATP singles titles, with 32 on clay, one on carpet, and one on hard courts. The former world No. 2 claimed his first title at the 1969 Macon Open and his final victory in Bournemouth in 1982

 

1. Rafael Nadal – 92 Titl

Rafael Nadal holds the record for the most ATP singles titles by a Spanish player, with 92 career titles, placing him fifth on the all-time Open Era men’s list. The former world No. 1 won his first title at the 2004 Orange Prokom Open in Warsaw and most recently triumphed at the 2022 French Open.
