The Browns returned home winless from their Western road trip, suffering a 36-19 defeat to the Rams in Los Angeles. Joe Flacco, in his first start for the Browns, showcased a solid performance, completing 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns, but also threw a costly interception.
The defense struggled once again, missing Denzel Ward and dealing with Myles Garrett’s limitations. The Rams capitalized with 399 yards of total offense, and Matthew Stafford threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns against his former coach, Jim Schwartz.
With this loss, the Browns now stand at 7-5, experiencing back-to-back defeats for the first time this season. Despite currently holding the sixth spot in the AFC, the road ahead won’t be easy. The upcoming clash against the 9-3 Jaguars in Cleveland adds to the challenges, making it a tough stretch with five weeks remaining in the season.
