In a remarkable achievement that even his father, golf legend Tiger Woods, never attained, 14-year-old Charlie Woods clinched victory at the high school state championships in Florida. Competing for the Benjamin School, Charlie showcased his talent over two days at Mission Inn Resort, posting a commendable score of 154 (78-76). This performance not only secured him a commendable T-26 position in the individual standings but also played a crucial role in his team’s triumph.

With a team total of 602, the Benjamin School emerged victorious in the Class A category, cementing Charlie’s status as a rising star in the golfing world. Despite Tiger Woods’ illustrious amateur career, which boasted multiple U.S. Amateur and U.S. Junior Amateur titles, he never had the opportunity to vie for a high school state championship. This was primarily due to the absence of statewide championships during his high school years, with the California Interscholastic Federation lacking such events at the time.

Nonetheless, Tiger’s early prowess on the golf course was evident as he clinched victory in his regional competition in 1991 and secured the title of his section’s medalist on three occasions. The father-son duo has previously showcased their golfing chemistry by participating in the parent-child PNC Championship for the past three years. Although the tournament’s official lineup for this year has not been disclosed, fans eagerly anticipate the potential inclusion of Tiger and Charlie Woods in the upcoming event, scheduled to commence on December 16.
