Former spouses Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren recently put aside their past differences to celebrate a shared joy: their son Charlie’s achievement in golf. The proud parents, who split amidst a highly-publicized divorce in 2010 due to Tiger’s infidelity, came together in support of their 15-year-old son as he received his state championship ring. Charlie, a student at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida, helped secure the Class 1A golf title for his school in November, marking the fourth time they’ve clinched the victory.
In heartwarming images captured by The Palm Beach Post, Tiger and Elin are seen beaming with pride as they stand alongside Charlie and his teammates. Despite their tumultuous history, the former couple shares a commitment to co-parenting their two children, including their 16-year-old daughter Sam. Married in 2004, their relationship ended in a highly-publicized split, but their dedication to their children remains unwavering.
Elin, who has been romantically linked to former NFL player Jordan Cameron since 2019, attended the event with one of her sons from her current relationship. She welcomed son Arthur in October 2019 and a second son, whose name has not been disclosed, in December 2022. The Swedish model has shown consistent support for Charlie’s golf endeavors, including accompanying him to a PGA Tour pre-qualifier event last month in Florida.
Charlie, following in his father’s footsteps, aspires to make his mark in the world of golf. Despite facing challenges during the pre-qualifier, including disruptions from unruly fans, he remains dedicated to his craft. Tiger, who himself started his professional golf career at 16, has shared the course with his son in the PNC Championships, formerly known as The Father/Son Challenge. While they have yet to secure a victory, their bond on the green is evident.
However, Tiger’s recent years in the sport have been marked by adversity. Injuries sustained from a 2021 car crash have led to multiple surgeries and forced him to withdraw from various tournaments. Despite his determination to continue playing, the golf legend faces uncertainties about his future in the sport. Additionally, in a notable business move, Tiger ended his long-standing partnership with Nike, signaling a new chapter in his career both on and off the course.
