TMRW Sports, spearheaded by Woods and McIlroy, has sealed deals with esteemed broadcasters FOX Sports in Australia, U-NEXT in Japan, and JTBC/Phoenix Sports International in South Korea. These partnerships mark a strategic move to expand TGL’s global reach, tapping into key markets where golf enjoys significant popularity.
Mike McCarley, the CEO and Founder of TMRW Sports, emphasized the global appeal of golf and the league’s commitment to broadening its footprint. With media rights secured in Australia, Japan, and South Korea, TGL is poised to captivate audiences worldwide with its innovative format and star-studded lineup.
FOX Sports Australia will offer comprehensive TGL coverage on its Foxtel and Kayo platforms, complementing its existing golf portfolio which includes prestigious events like the US Open, PGA Championship, The Open, and the Ryder Cup.
In South Korea, TGL will find a home on JTBC GOLF Channel, a trusted partner renowned for its extensive golf coverage, including major tournaments such as those mentioned earlier.
Meanwhile, ESPN has been chosen as the exclusive US broadcaster for TGL, presenting viewers with an alternative to traditional golf programming and promising an exciting new chapter in the sport’s narrative.
The league itself promises a fresh take on golf competition, with six teams comprising three PGA Tour players each, battling it out on a virtual 18-hole course. Following a rigorous 15-game regular season, the top-ranked teams will advance to the semi-finals and ultimately compete for glory in the season finale.
