The triumph was especially poignant for Riley, as his wife, Alexandra Patton Riley, was there to support him in Fort Worth, Texas. The win earned Riley $1.638 million in prize money.
Alexandra, Riley’s devoted wife and biggest fan, was visibly emotional as he clinched the title on Sunday, May 26. The couple has been together for nearly seven years and celebrated their marriage with a Christmas-themed wedding at Arlington Hall Special Events on December 7, 2022.
For Riley’s birthday this past December, Alexandra shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, expressing her pride and love. She wrote, “Happy Birthday to my handsome husband!!!! Proud of you each & everyday! Banks & I love you so much! 27 is going to be the sweetest one yet! On this special day, you can have your cake and eat it too😋🎂🎉🥰🏌🏻♂️🤍.” Riley responded warmly, “Love you honey! Couldn’t imagine life without you!”
A week later, Alexandra marked their first wedding anniversary with another Instagram post, celebrating their journey together. She wrote, “December 17th is also special because it marks our anniversary! So many wonderful memories and milestones in this first year of marriage! My very best friend in the whole world; couldn’t imagine doing life without you – love you always @davis_riley 🫶🏼.”
Both Riley and Alexandra graduated from the University of Alabama, where she earned a degree in Hospitality Management Meeting and Event Planning. Alexandra is a constant presence at Riley’s matches, supporting him through his career milestones. She was by his side when he won the PGA Tour team event at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans in April 2023, partnering with Nick Hardy.
Following that victory, Alexandra posted on Instagram, “Holding on so tight to this first PGA Tour win!
