A jednak! Chwalińska mistrzynią w Turcji. Koncert w super tie-breaku

Maja Chwalińska will not leave the Turkish Antalya with empty hands. On Saturday, Polish tennis player and Czech Anastasia Detiuc triumphed in the doubles of the WTA 125 (WTA Challenger) event tournament.

Saturday was a busy day for Mai Chwalińska. First, our tennis player fought a three-hundred-three fight with the Spanish Leyre Romero Gormaz, whose stakes were the single finale (more here). After the regular break for rest, Polka joined the fight for the title in the doubles tournament, in which her partner was Anastasia Detiuc.

The Polish-Czech couple faced the Czech duo Jesika Maleckova and Miriam Skoch (more known under the maiden name of Kolodziejova). After an hour and 35 minutes, our representative and her partner triumphed at the end 4:6, 6:3, 10-2.

After the first set, closer to the victory were Maleckova and Skoch. They started with a break and although after four gems there was a draw, in the decisive stage of the premiere, the installments turned out to be better than the rivals. The key break was won by the Czechs in the ninth game, and after the change of sides they used the first set ball.

Ale odpowiedź Chwalińskiej i Detiuc była kapitalna. W drugim secie polsko-czeski debel opanował sytuację na korcie. Po przełamaniach w drugim i czwartym gemie wyszedł na 5:0. W końcowej fazie tej części spotkania przeciwniczki odrobiły jednego breaka. Jednak w dziewiątym gemie nasza tenisistka i jej partnerka wykorzystały piątego setbola.

Ponieważ po dwóch setach był remis, kluczowy okazał się super tie-break. W rozgrywce tej Chwalińska i Detiuc dały prawdziwy koncert. Zdobyły bowiem od stanu 0-1 dziewięć punktów z rzędu! Następnie pewnie wykorzystały drugą piłkę meczową i dzięki temu zamknęły spotkanie.

Za triumf w zawodach debla turnieju Megasaray Hotels Open 2025 Chwalińska i Detiuc otrzymają po 125 punktów do rankingu deblistek oraz czek na sumę 5700 dolarów do podziału. Dla 23-letniej Polki to 13. trofeum w grze podwójnej, ale trzecie rangi WTA Challenger. 26-letnia Czeszka ma teraz na koncie 22 tytuły w deblu w imprezach różnej rangi (ITF World Tennis Tour, WTA Challenger i WTA Tour).
