Last year, Ashley expressed her desire to see professional golfer Rory McIlroy get “punched in the face.” Her comments came after Team Europe, led by McIlroy alongside Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and Tommy Fleetwood, clinched the Ryder Cup from the American team. The event wasn’t without controversy, as McIlroy was seen shouting at caddie Joe LaCava in the car park. This incident seemed to fuel Ashley’s disdain for the golfer, leading her to condemn his actions in an Instagram post.
Pat Perez joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league in 2022, signing a deal reportedly worth $10 million (£7.9 million). He enjoyed initial success, winning the inaugural LIV team championship and contributing to the 4Aces’ triumph. However, as of now, he finds himself in 47th place in the league standings. Players ranked 49th and below will be dropped from the series, and Perez’s position in the competition will be decided in the coming months, with only Harold Varner III and Laurie Canter currently standing between him and elimination.
