The Creator Classic is scheduled to take place on the eve of the Tour Championship, which brings together the top 30 PGA Tour professionals who have made it through the FedEx Cup playoffs to compete for the coveted FedEx Cup title. The winner of the Tour Championship will receive a staggering $18 million.

DeChambeau, known for his witty humor and sarcasm, took to social media to express his mock surprise at not receiving an invitation to the Creator Classic. “I’m waiting for my invite,” he joked, despite being a member of the rival LIV Golf League since 2022.

Ironically, DeChambeau has become one of the most popular golf creators on YouTube, with his channel recently surpassing 1.1 million subscribers. His latest video, featuring former US President Donald Trump, has garnered nearly 10 million views.

The Creator Classic will feature a range of popular golf creators, including Tyler Toney from Dude Perfect, George and Wesley Bryan, Fat Perez, Bob Does Sports, and Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke, and Sean Walsh from Good Good. The event will be broadcast live on the PGA Tour’s YouTube page and other platforms.

DeChambeau’s tongue-in-cheek comment is likely a nod to his ongoing affiliation with LIV Golf, which has been at odds with the PGA Tour since its inception. Despite this, DeChambeau’s popularity and influence in the golf world continue to grow, making him a significant figure in the sport.
