Charlie Woods, like his legendary father, Tiger Woods, exhibits a remarkable array of qualities both on and off the golf course. From relishing a bit of banter during play to delivering under pressure, Charlie’s performance at the recent Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship showcased his undeniable potential.
In a display reminiscent of Tiger’s dominance, Charlie clinched victory in the 14-15 age division at Mission Inn in Orlando, sealing the deal with a career-best final-round score of 66. Mirroring his father’s trademark clutch moments, Charlie sank a crucial birdie putt on the last hole to secure the title.
Following an opening round of 71, Charlie’s game soared in the second round, as he sank an impressive nine birdies. He attributes part of his success to having his father as his caddie, emphasizing the grounding influence Tiger provides amidst the tournament’s intensity.
“We just stay in our own little world. We take it one shot at a time. He puts me in my place,” remarked Charlie of his father’s guiding presence on the course.
With each tournament, Charlie Woods continues to carve out his own path in the world of golf, drawing parallels to his father’s storied career while crafting a legacy uniquely his own.
