Swedish rising star Ludvig Aberg surged to the top of the Scottish Open leaderboard after the second round on Friday. Aberg posted a second consecutive round of 64, giving him a one-shot lead over Frenchman Antoine Rozner at the Renaissance Club. The 24-year-old golfer went bogey-free, recording six birdies to reach 12 under par.
Antoine Rozner, who hasn’t dropped a shot this week, added a 64 to his opening round of 65, positioning himself as a close contender in this warm-up event for next week’s British Open at Royal Troon.
Italy’s Matteo Manassero and South Korea’s Im Sung-jae both finished at 10 under, with rounds of 63 and 67 respectively. Collin Morikawa also delivered impressive shots, joining a group of players tied for fifth.
Reflecting on his performance, Aberg said, “It’s been very nice. I felt like we’ve had a very good game plan and are executing the shots.”

Australia’s Adam Scott carded seven birdies for a round of 65, placing him four shots off the lead at eight-under and tied for 11th. Scott’s round began with a mix of birdies and bogeys, but he finished strong with four birdies on the back nine. A standout moment was on the tenth hole, where he hit a driver off the deck and “flushed it” for a birdie on the par-five hole.
