Professional golfer Tiger Woods recently shared insights into his relationship with his son, Charlie, during an appearance on Today with Carson Daly. Woods, 48, discussed how Charlie, aged 15, had joined him at the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida.

Daly, acknowledging Charlie’s presence at the event, inquired about their dynamic on the golf course. Woods humorously revealed that while Charlie is receptive to his golf advice, he’s less inclined to heed guidance on other matters. “He listens to me about golf but not anything else outside of that, cause I don’t know anything else,” Woods lamented, highlighting the typical teenage pushback even in the realm of golf.

Woods, who shares Charlie and his daughter Sam, 16, with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, expressed pride in Charlie’s accomplishments, including receiving his state championship ring after his school’s golf team won the Class 1A title in North Palm Beach, Florida. In an interview with PGA, Woods emphasized his unconditional support for Charlie, affirming that he’s proud of his son regardless of his future endeavors in the sport. “I’m proud of whatever direction he chooses, whether he sticks with the game or not,” Woods remarked, underscoring the importance of Charlie finding his own path.
