### Shanon Biles Hopes to Reunite with Daughter Simone Biles After Paris Olympics 2024
Following a remarkable performance at the Paris Olympics 2024, where Simone Biles made a triumphant return by winning multiple medals, her biological mother, Shanon Biles, has expressed a deep desire to reconcile with her famous daughter.
After a challenging period at the Tokyo Olympics, where Simone withdrew from several events due to experiencing the ‘twisties’—a mental block that causes gymnasts to lose spatial awareness—she returned to the global stage in Paris with incredible success. At the Paris Olympics, Simone won two individual gold medals in the women’s all-around and vault competitions. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in securing a gold medal for Team USA in the team all-around event and earned a silver medal in the women’s floor exercise.
In the wake of Simone’s impressive Olympic campaign, Shanon Biles spoke to *DailyMail.com* about her longing to reconnect with her daughter. During the interview, Shanon expressed how much she misses Simone and voiced her hope for a reconciliation with the seven-time Olympic gold medalist.
“I would like to make amends with Simone personally,” Shanon said in the interview. “I’m just waiting for her and Adria [Biles]. I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.”
Shanon Biles also revealed that she maintains more frequent contact with Simone’s younger sister, Adria Biles, compared to Simone. Despite the strained relationship with Simone, she holds out hope that one day they can rebuild their bond.
Shanon opened up about the painful circumstances that led to her decision to give up her children, explaining that her struggles with substance abuse made it impossible for her to provide the care they needed. “I wasn’t able to care for them. I was still using, and my father [Ronald Biles] didn’t want me coming in and out of their lives when I wasn’t right,” she said.
Due to her addiction to drugs and alcohol, Shanon Biles faced numerous legal troubles and spent time in and out of jail. This instability led to significant hardship for her four children—Simone, Adria, Ashley, and Tevin—who often faced difficulties in getting enough food and basic necessities during their early years.
When Shanon could no longer care for her children, they were placed in foster care. Simone and Adria were eventually adopted by their maternal grandfather, Ronald Biles, and his second wife, Nellie Biles, providing them with a stable and nurturing environment. At the time of her adoption, Simone was only six years old. Meanwhile, Simone’s older siblings, Ashley and Tevin, were adopted by Ronald’s sister and their great-aunt, Harriet, who raised them in Cleveland, Ohio.
The shared experiences of growing up together have forged a close bond between Simone and Adria, with Simone being particularly protective of her younger sister. Their relationship is so strong that Adria served as one of the bridesmaids at Simone’s recent wedding to NFL safety Jonathan Owens.
As Shanon Biles watches her daughter’s incredible achievements from afar, she holds onto the hope that, one day, she will have the opportunity to make amends and build a new relationship with Simone, free from the shadows of the past.
