Despite facing challenges with form and playing time over the past year, Tiger Woods remains determined to add to his impressive collection of major titles. The 15-time major champion is so focused on securing a 16th title that his clothing brand, Sun Day Red, is already preparing for a major change.
In an exclusive interview with GolfMagic, Sun Day Red’s Senior Creative Director, Cáje Moye, revealed that if Woods clinches his 16th major, the brand will undergo a complete logo redesign. Currently, the Sun Day Red logo features a tiger with 15 stripes, each representing one of Woods’ major victories. While adding a 16th stripe might seem like a logical step, Moye confirmed that a new approach will be taken instead.
“We’ve already had that conversation,” Moye explained. “We’ve got some ideas in the works, but without giving too much away, it’ll likely be a brand-new logo. Our legal team advised against simply adding another stripe, so we’re prepared for a fresh design.”
During the interview, Moye also shared details about Sun Day Red’s latest line of polo shirts, which aim to set a new standard in golf apparel. The heritage polo collection has been crafted using feedback from Woods throughout the past season, with Moye emphasizing the golfer’s deep involvement in the design process.
“Tiger is incredibly hands-on when it comes to product development. He gives us valuable feedback, and his insights are unmatched,” said Moye. “His constant drive for improvement pushes us to innovate in new and interesting ways, while keeping things simple.”
Moye added that Woods serves as the brand’s primary product tester, wearing the gear during high-pressure competitions. “He’s our ultimate wear tester, performing at the highest level while wearing our products,” Moye concluded.
