Things went south for Na on the par-5 ninth hole after an errant tee shot landed him in trouble in the woods. Frustrated by a sandy lie and unable to recover with his first attempt, Na’s emotions boiled over. His expletive-laden outburst and club slam into his caddie’s bag were caught on camera, highlighting the raw frustration of the moment. As the round progressed, Na’s struggles continued, including hitting his next shot into a tree, much to the disappointment of the onlooking fans.
Despite his efforts to salvage the situation, Na ultimately ended the tournament on a low note, finishing with a double bogey. His meltdown was shared on social media with the caption “One of us,” underscoring the relatable nature of his emotional reaction.
In the individual standings, Na finished tied for 34th after shooting a three-under 69 in his final round. Meanwhile, his Iron Heads GC team could only manage a sixth-place finish in the team event.
The day belonged to Ripper GC, who clinched victory in LIV Golf’s first-ever team playoff, triumphing over the South African side, Stinger GC. On the individual front, Brendan Steele secured the title by a narrow one-stroke margin over Louis Oosthuizen, adding another layer of drama to an already eventful tournament.
