Julia Sheremets will not compete for the world title in March. All because of the decision of the PZB authorities, which withdrew from the IBA federation and joined the World Boxing. – It remains to be patient – admits the player.

Mateusz Puka, WP SportoweFakty: Recently, coach Tomasz Dylak stated that you started this season in surprisingly high form. Do you really feel no tired of the games and the confusion around you?

Julia Szeremeta, Olympic vice-master in boxing: I really think I’m in even better shape than at the Games. And all this is due to the fact that I am practically in training all the time. I didn’t really give up until December after the Suzuki Boxing Gala, because then I went on vacation. Even when I trained less boxing, I spent time training acrobatics and pole dance.

Don’t you regret not taking a long break?

I don’t regret it at all, because I still have very ambitious plans and I want to be a better player. I am a bit overloaded, because I have just finished the over 20-day grouping in Wałcz. From the third of January I train almost non-stop twice a day. I feel quite tired now, but I did it to be in an even better place. I’m going home for a few days now, and then I’m going to be the first start this season in Debrecen.

The main point of the first part of the season was to be the World Championships in Belgrade. In the end, PZB did not agree to your start in the competition organized by the IBA federation. How did you react to that decision?

I’m sure it was a blow to me. I wanted to build good form for this competition and I devoted a lot to prepare for them. I knew I wanted to fight for the world championship.

Did you have to change your plans for this decision?

It is good that in this place he jumped in us the World Cup in Brazil, where there will also be a very strong cast. It remains to be patient and wait for the September World Championships in Liverpool already organized by World Boxing.

After all, you can see from you that you are very disappointed in this situation.

From the beginning, I was aware that I might not get a chance to fight for the world title. I was counting on it and I wasn’t very surprised by that decision.

Even Donald Trump recently mentioned your Olympic rival, Taiwanese Lin Yu-ting, and expressed opposition to such situations in women’s sport. Did you enjoy such a declaration?

In fact, I heard something like that in the media, but I didn’t even delve into this case in particular. I try not to bother with this kind of thing. It’s a closed chapter, and I’m focusing on myself.

Are you satisfied that Algerian Imane Khelif was not allowed to enter the World Cup and Taiwanese could not compete in the World Cup?

I don’t know what’s going on in their business, and I’m on average interested. I accepted the principle that I was just thinking about myself.

You’ve recently reacted on social media to the alleged information about your accident and death. Do you often face such strange situations?

Already two or three times there was information about my death on the Internet. Every time a lot of friends send me pictures. It is strange that this is how you want to extort something on the Internet. However, nothing I can do about it, and all I have to do is to reassure close to me that I am fine.

How many offers from freak-fight have you received from the Games?

In fact, there was a lot of it. One of them was recently, I received three more. I don’t even know most of the details because my manager gets it. From the beginning, I have been in the position that I am not interested in anything like this and I have never seriously considered any of these offers.

Were those offers over a million zlotys for the fight?

I don’t want to talk about it. Let it remain a mystery. I can assure you that I am only interested in sport.

Will you appear in the Polish Boxing League soon?

– We’ll see. I was surprised to learn that women will also compete in these games. Although I already have a calendar of my weekend starts, but if there was an interesting opportunity to test, why not.
