Former The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not holding back her feelings about how the show that made her a household name is handling the presidential election.
With just five days left until Election Day, the ABC program has taken on even more targeted rhetoric against former President Donald Trump as he battles Vice President Kamala Harris. On Wednesday’s episode, the hosts showed a compilation of clips in which Trump calls the country “a garbage can.” Meanwhile, co-host Whoopi Goldberg said President Joe Biden referring to Trump’s supporters as “garbage” was simply “a slip of the tongue.”
“That right there is evidence of the goal of this media machine for Kamala to actually create what I believe is a political concussion for the viewer,” Hasselbeck said on Fox News’s Hannity. “If they hit us in the head enough with the lie, we will be dizzied and lack depth perception and have the inability to act. Having just recovered from a concussion, I know those are symptoms and side effects of having one, and I believe that’s what they’re trying to do to the voter.”
Hasselbeck was a regular panelist on The View for 10 years before she was replaced by Playboy model Jenny McCarthy. She hosted Fox and Friends from 2013 to 2015 and has since written books on religion and diet in addition to children’s books.

“I would actually go as far as saying I’ll pray and beg fellow Christians and those of faith to step into this election, not step out of it,” Hasselbeck said. “It is our responsibility … although they may be politically and mentally concussed from what we are hearing from that table at The View. … We need to step forward and act.”
Trump has not been a guest on The View since before his 2016 presidential bid. However, Harris appeared on the program weeks ago to field questions from the panelists.
