It was great to be back out at Trout National – The Reserve last week. Construction is progressing quickly, and the course looks incredible. Don’t worry @MikeTrout, we’ve got everything under control while you’re in season. Can’t wait until we tee it up. pic.twitter.com/K7hgGN81g2

While in New York City, Woods took a detour to check out the progress at Trout National – The Reserve, a golf course his design firm is constructing in Vineland, New Jersey, for Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout. Sharing his excitement on social media, Woods assured Trout that everything was on track, despite Trout’s recent surgery for a torn left meniscus.
This week, Tiger has shifted his focus back to golf business. With the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville just around the corner, scheduled for May 16-19, he made a visit to the course where he clinched one of his four Wanamaker trophies back in 2000.
The PGA Championship’s official social media accounts have been buzzing with pictures of Woods preparing at the course. His last competitive outing was at the Masters last month, where he made the cut but struggled and finished at the bottom.
During his recent media appearances, Tiger reiterated his ambition to compete in at least one major tournament per month. The big question looms: how will he fare as he pursues his 16th major victory and his first since his involvement in a serious car accident?
ESPN analyst and two-time major winner Andy North expressed optimism about Woods’ chances, noting his strong track record at Valhalla and his ability to draw upon positive memories from past performances. However, North emphasized the importance of assessing Tiger’s recent form and physical condition, particularly his short game skills and ability to cope with potentially warm weather conditions.
At 48, Woods last claimed a major title at the 2019 Masters and last won the PGA Championship in 2007. As he gears up for another shot at major glory, golf fans around the world await with bated breath to see if the legendary Tiger can once again roar to victory on the biggest stage.
