**Tiger Woods Shows Support for Son Charlie at US Junior Amateur, Three Years After Devastating Car Crash**
Tiger Woods was seen supporting his son Charlie at the US Junior Amateur, over three years after a devastating car crash in California. Taking a five-month hiatus from professional golf, Woods watched as 15-year-old Charlie scored an 82 at Oakland Hills on Monday. The scars on Woods’ right leg, which bore the brunt of the 2021 crash, were evident as he cheered from the sidelines.
In February 2021, Woods’ SUV veered off the road, tumbling multiple times after colliding with a tree. Firefighters and paramedics quickly rescued him from the wreckage, rushing him to the hospital. LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva attributed the crash to excessive speed and inability to negotiate a curve in the road.
Since the accident, Woods has shown remarkable resilience, transitioning from a wheelchair to crutches, and eventually returning to swing a golf club. Despite persistent pain and a limited playing schedule, the 48-year-old continues to participate in the sport.
This year, Woods missed the cut in three of the four major tournaments, showing form only at the Masters, where he finished 60th. Now, he is often seen on the sidelines, supporting Charlie and adhering to tournament rules that prevent him from coaching.
Tiger’s dedication to his son’s development is clear, as he was observed whispering words of encouragement to Charlie during the tournament. Proud of Charlie’s progress, Woods noted, “His speed has gone dramatically up this year. He’s hitting it past me now. I enjoy caddying for him and being there with him, just to talk through shots and share my thought process.”
Woods’ career may be winding down, but his passion for the sport and his son’s budding career remains as strong as ever.
