Woods, at 48 years old, has been diligently preparing for the season’s first major event after his last competitive appearance in mid-February, where he withdrew from the Genesis Invitational due to illness. His absence from the tournament circuit has been notable, especially after he was unable to compete in the final round of The Masters last year due to a plantar fasciitis injury.
A true stalwart of the sport, Woods shares the record for the most consecutive Masters cuts made, matching the feats of Gary Player and Fred Couples with an impressive 23 consecutive appearances.
