Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, is leaving no stone unturned in his preparations for the Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia. According to a close friend of Woods, the 15-time major champion is fully focused and determined to eliminate any potential distractions as he aims to make a triumphant return to the prestigious event following his ankle fusion surgery last year.
The same ankle injury had forced Woods to withdraw from the Masters 12 months ago, but now, after months of recovery and rehabilitation, he is gearing up for a comeback. Despite a setback due to flu during the Genesis Invitational, Woods’ commitment to his fitness and game remains unwavering.
“He’s focused,” the friend revealed to the New York Post. “He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex. He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.”
Addressing questions about Woods’ romantic life, the friend disclosed that there’s currently no one romantically involved with the golfing icon. Woods’ previous relationship with Erica Herman, a former waitress, came to an end in 2023, leaving him single as he channels all his energy into his golfing endeavors.
Woods had outlined his comeback strategy, aiming for one tournament per month in 2024. Although he fell slightly short of this target after the Genesis Invitational, the Masters remains a pinnacle event for him. “I think that the best scenario would be maybe a tournament a month. I think that’s realistic,” Woods had stated ahead of his comeback in the Bahamas. “You would have to start with maybe at Genesis and then something in March near the Players.”
With his sights set on the major tournaments and a rigorous training regime in place, Woods is determined to reclaim his former glory on the golf course, one swing at a time.
