On Louis Armstrong Stadium, Karolina Muchova will aim for a fourth consecutive win over Jasmine Paolini, and last year’s semifinalist will face a tough test. Caroline Wozniacki will meet 22nd seed Beatriz Haddad Maia.
In the men’s draw, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev are both just one win away from a potential quarterfinal clash. Medvedev is the heavy favorite against Nuno Borges, while Sinner will face Tommy Paul in a highly anticipated evening showdown.
Elsewhere, Jack Draper and Tomas Machac will compete for their first Slam quarterfinal, and one Australian, either Alex de Minaur or Jordan Thompson, is guaranteed a spot in the last eight.
