Presbyterian Completes Play at Golfweek Fall Challenge
Pawleys Island, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s golf team wrapped up its performance at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, a competitive tournament featuring a strong field of collegiate golf programs. The event took place at the renowned True Blue Golf Club, a challenging par-72 course located on the scenic coast of South Carolina.
The Blue Hose battled through three days of intense competition, displaying skill and determination in a tournament that attracted some of the top teams from across the country. Presbyterian ended the event with a solid showing, gaining valuable experience and setting the tone for the rest of their fall season.
Senior leaders and newcomers alike contributed to the team’s efforts, with standout individual performances throughout the tournament. Presbyterian’s golfers tackled the course’s unique layout, which included numerous water hazards and tricky greens, making it a true test of strategy and execution.
Head coach Thomas Addison expressed pride in his team’s performance, noting the improvements seen over the three rounds. “Our guys showed resilience and grit out there. This tournament was a great opportunity to measure ourselves against strong competition and identify areas where we can improve,” Addison said. “We’re going to take these experiences and use them to build momentum as we continue through the season.”
Presbyterian now looks ahead to the remainder of their fall schedule, with a focus on further improving their standings and sharpening their game. The Golfweek Fall Challenge was a key early-season event, giving the Blue Hose a clear sense of where they stand and what they need to achieve in the coming months.
The Blue Hose will next compete in the upcoming tournament at the Camden Collegiate, where they hope to capitalize on the lessons learned from their outing at Pawleys Island and continue pushing toward greater success.
