Last season, Jason Kelce was the starting center for the Philadelphia Eagles, but this year, he’s transitioned to analyzing the team, offering unfiltered opinions. After the Eagles’ narrow 5-point win over the Green Bay Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night, Kelce took to social media with a mix of praise and critique. “Eagles 1-0, great first game against a very good Packers team,” Kelce posted on X. “It was a sloppy game, but when they were executing, they were unstoppable. A lot of positives here, just need to clean up the first-game jitters on offense and eliminate the big plays on defense, and we’re good to go!”
The Eagles turned the ball over three times—two interceptions and a fumble by quarterback Jalen Hurts. The fumble, however, seemed to stem from a miscommunication with center Cam Jurgens, who snapped the ball in a shotgun formation when Hurts wasn’t ready. Ironically, Jurgens, now in his third year out of Nebraska, replaced Kelce after his retirement last season.
